Third generation 2019 BMW 1 Series is almost ready, it was seen by photographers of our spies on the slippery streets of Scandinavia undergoing rigorous winter road testing. The small BMW will be closely related to Mini Countryman, with those sharing the front-wheel-drive platform provide more interior space than the outgoing BMW Series 1.

2019 BMW Series 1 Exterior, Interior Feature
One look up front is enough to tell you that the new 2019 BMW 1 Series will not be a big departure, it looks wise, from the model that comes out. Sharp eyes will pay attention to rising bonnets and LED headlights but the overall look will be evolutionary and not revolutionary, and look similar to other BMW family cars.
In the profile, the new 2019 BMW Series 1 looks higher which will increase the passenger space at the rear but also take some of the slimmer and more sporty looks from the outgoing BMW Series 1. Size wise, the new Series 1 must be roughly the size of a VW Golf so that maneuverability in the city must be good and easy.
Apart from the real exhaust muffler, not much can be seen from the back of the new Series 1 in this spy shot. Expect LED brake lights in a style similar to that of BMW X2 SUV.
The new Series 1 will have a more modern cabin than the outgoing version, including technology borrowed from the new Series 5. There will be a large central infotainment screen and aluminum options or wood trim.
Thank you for sharing the part with the larger Mini Countryman, the new car will be more practical than the old one. The back legroom will be much better and this spy shot shows the back door will be a more accessible form. The controversial front wheel drive platform will mean the boot will increase the capacity of the old 360 liter model.
2019 BMW Series 1 Driving, Engine, Performance
The Entry-level 2019 BMW Series 1 will use the same three-cylinder gasoline and diesel engine found in the Mini hatchback. There will also be a 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine that is stronger in versions 120i and 120d. Series 1 will be the first wheel drive for the first time, also to increase passenger space.
It is estimated that there will be a new hybrid option, too, using technology from the Mini Countryman. This system pairs a 1.5 liter gasoline engine with an electric motor to cut official carbon dioxide emissions to less than 50g / km.
For enthusiastic drivers, there will be a M140i model, packing around 350hp from a 2.0 liter turbocharged gasoline engine. Just like Audi RS3 and Mercedes-AMG A45, the new M140i will be a four-wheel drive for maximum attraction from the lights and out of the corner.
2019 BMW Series 1 Release Date and Prices
There is no official release date yet, but we do not expect to see a new model before 2019. When it hits a dealer and is on the market, the price should not be more expensive than the current entry price of BMW Series 1 at around £ 21,840.
