All-new 2020 BMW X1 has been spied on during testing using heavy camouflage. But most likely will come with some subtle changes in exterior styling. Inside the cabin, it will get a bigger screen with an improved infotainment system and a new digital cluster. Under the bonnet, next to the standard engine, manufacturer will offer a high-performance version and hybrid plug-ins as well. BMW M Sport model will also add dual exhaust pipes, larger wheels and large air intakes.

When it comes to exterior design, even though the new 2020 BMW X1 has been completely disguised, this time, we can only expect a few minor changes. However, the front and rear fascia will display a new design.
So, this time, the new 2020 BMW X1 will come with revised graphics for the headlights and the slightly improved rear lights and bumpers on the front and rear. 2020 BMW X1 Engine and performance
The upcoming 2020 BMW X1 will be supported by the same engine found in the previous generation model. And there is one single machine available. This is a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that can make 228 horses and 258 pound-feet of torque.
This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and comes with a choice between the front wheel and all-wheel drive. In addition, the manufacturer claims it will be able to reach 60 mph in 6.3 seconds. The front wheel drive system is rated at 23 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. The all-wheel drive model will get 22 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway.
Furthermore, the car manufacturer must also offer a high-performance version, BMW X1 M35i. This model must be able to produce 302 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. On the other hand, 2020 BMW X1 must also be offered with a hybrid engine. And most likely it will combine a 1.5 liter three-cylinder turbo engine with an electric motor and a 10.7 kWh battery.
3-cylinder unit will be placed on the front axle while the electric engine will be placed on the rear axle. The total engine output is estimated at 221 horsepower and 283 pound feet of torque. In addition, this engine will provide an all-electric 37 mile range. Depending on the engine options, the new 2020 BMW X1 will get an automatic 6 speed, 8 speed automatic or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
