Released in 2013, the current X5 generation is not that old. However, not many people know that this car is actually based on an older generation and the only real change above its predecessor is its design. Because of this, it looks like BMW is ready to move forward with the new generation X5. German manufacturers have been quiet about upgrading but the car is seen testing several times now. It looks like the BMW X5 2019 will be a new vehicle that will be more efficient, comfortable, and faster than before. This is largely thanks to the new car platform. Unlike its predecessor, the new X5 version will be based on all new BMW CLAR architectures. This will not only allow them to streamline the manufacturing process but will also come with some improvements to the car.

Thanks to the new platform, the X5 will be more structurally structured which will translate at a better NVH level, less body roll and a lower center of gravity. This alone must be worthy of upgrading from its predecessor. On top of that, the car is likely to receive a new engine and maybe made of new materials too. At this point it looks like the body will become aluminum with very little steel. The platform on the other hand will be all aluminum designs that will include carbon fiber inserts. With the new platform, the BMW X5 2019 will also receive new running gear. All except basic models are expected to receive an air suspension system as standard. This will control the car’s shake and it will enable it to be faster and more responsive without sacrificing the comfort of the occupants.

2019 BMW X5 will greet showrooms in mid 2018. Although new spy shots appear at more frequent intervals, the release is not too close. MY 2019 MY new BMW X5 will arrive next year. This will be served in the summer months, while having to hit the dealership at the end of 2018.

The price of the upcoming 2019 X5 will be bigger than today. The current gene is worth $ 59,895 for the entry model, while the most expensive version starts at $ 74,645. Expect prices to rise by around $ 1000 throughout the entry level trim. The more expensive, the price will rise a little more.

Unfortunately we cannot see well the future X5 cabin. Even so, it looks like they will offer an experience similar to that offered by the Series 5. Expect a more minimalist design with fewer buttons and an easier-to-use layout. On top of that, the car will receive the iDrive infotainment screen much larger than before, even on the base model. Some rumors also seem to indicate that the instrument cluster will now be completely digital, unlike those found in sedans. Also, thanks to the new platform, the driving position will be lowered and as a result, front and rear passengers will enjoy more headroom than before.

The prototype of the disguised car seems quite impressive. Although the first glace looks like the BMW X5 2019 may seem identical to its predecessor, this doesn’t really happen. Even the car looks lower, wider and longer than before. A clearly longer wheelbase is also translated in a car that looks much more aggressive than its predecessor. With this new model it seems BMW will also release version M right after its opening. It will be wider and lower and will likely receive a staggered wheel setup to accentuate high-performance characters.

Unlike its predecessor, the BMW X5 2019 is expected to have 3, 4, 6 and 8 cylinder engines. 3 cylinders are expected to be hybrids but so far it looks like they will only be released in the future. Until then, the basic version will likely have a 2.0 liter turbo-four for about 250 horsepower and more than 260 lb-ft of torque. A 3.0 liter six inline-six or two turbocharger sport is also a real possibility. It must be able to provide anything between 350 and 450 horsepower and as much as 450 lb-ft of torque.

All of this will become standard, with a new 8-speed automatic gearbox and mated to the great BMW xDrive all wheel drive system. M version-topping range will be somewhat different. This is likely to display different transmissions and a back-bias all-wheel drive system. Also, unlike other versions, the X5 M will feature a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 that can provide more than 600 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque.
